On Tuesday evening Lisnagarvey III were the visitors to Havelock Park to meet Banbridge II in a Men’s Junior League One fixture. Banbridge II had clinched the League Title, but Lisnagarvey needed a point against their local rivals to secure 3rd place, one spot behind their own 2nd XI.
After a tentative start, Banbridge began to string passes together, troubling the Garvey defence. When it looked like the 1st quarter might be scoreless Josh Brownlee pounced on a loose ball in front of goal to open the scoring after 13 minutes.
