Girls U15 Cup: Instonians 4 Rainey 2 Final

We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Club Girls U15 Cup Final between Instonians and Rainey at Stormont late Sunday evening.

Rainey started strongly and they were 0 – 1 up after eight minutes thanks to an Alexa McCrea goal, it was a lead they took into the second quarter.

An Instonians break out at the start of Q2 ended with a goal for Martha McMurray to tie the game at 1 – 1.

Rainey restored their lead three minutes later with Lexi Scott finding the net to give the Magherafelt side a 1 – 2 lead at half time.
