I caught up with the Kirk Cup semi final between Banbridge and Belfast Harlequins on Wednesday evening at Havelock Park.
The sun was setting fairly quickly at the 7:45 pm pass back and there was a chill in the air but it didn’t take long for the game to warm up as Quins looked for an early advantage in a physical game.
There was no score in Q1 and Banbridge began to get on top in Q2 which led to a Philip Brown penalty corner goal a couple of minutes from half time.
