We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Minor Plate final between Castle 3XI and Mossley 4XI at Stormont on saturday afternoon.

There was plenty of action as the team’s battled out a fairly even first half. Both sides created chances but the keepers and their defenders were up to the task and the first half ended without score.

Mossley upped the pressure in a lively third quarter and they were rewarded when their captain Kennedy Herron drove in an athletic shot from mid-circle for a 0 – 1 lead which they took into the final quarter.
