Early Saturday afternoon Larne and Randalstown clashed in the McCrea Cup Final at Ravenhill. A very vocal crowd welcomed both teams on to the pitch.

Eoin McDonald’s try opened Randalstown’s account

Randalstown were early to find their rhythm. Eoin McDonald was as the base of a driving lineout maul to claim the touchdown and put Randalstown 5-0 up on 11 minutes. 

The game ebbed to and flowed for the next 20 minutes with neither team able to add to the scoring.

Philip Andews’ try tied the game at 5-5

Eventually Larne’s Philip Andrews squeezed over in the right corner to tie the game at 5-5 . . .
