It was early Saturday evening when Game Three of a triple header at Ravenhill took place. Banbridge 3XV faced Instonians 3XV in the Crawford Cup Final.
Banbridge opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, with a penalty goal from Ian Porter for 3-0.
It didn’t take Instonians long to respond with a try from Matthew Kilpatrick, converted by Marco Manso for 3-7 on 6 minutes.
A 18th minute Ian Porter penalty goal reduced the deficit to 6-7.

Alex Place’s try on 33 minutes, converted by Marco Manso put Instonians 6-14 up, before a 37th minute Ian Porter try, which he converted resulting in the teams going in at halftime with Instonians leading 14-13.
