On Saturday afternoon Leinster were the visitors to Blaris, Lisburn to face Ulster in the final Junior Interprovincial fixture of the season. Ulster were unbeaten, having taken the scalps of Munster and Connacht, Leinster had yet to register a win. Though the sun shone, a deceptively strong cold win blew down the pitch, initially in Ulster’s favour.

Within 2 minutes Ulster opened the scoring, when James Wright sprinted in for Eddie Keys to convert for 7-0.
