On warm, spring Saturday in Game Two of a triple header at Ravenhill, Academy 2XV faced Ballynahinch 4XV in the Forster Cup Final.
Ballynahinch took an early lead when Michael Evans burrowed over in the 8th minute for 5-0.
It took until the 18th minute for Academy to reply when Henry George scored, beside the posts. Josh McKee’s conversion gave Academy a 7-5 lead.
Academy consolidated their lead when Thomas Mulryan scored out on the right on 32 minutes to give Academy a 12-5 halftime lead.
