Garryowen made the long trip up from Limerick for this AIL1B game against Instonians at a sunny, warm Shawsbridge.
Instonians had early possession and took the lead when Oli Clark steered a lineout maul over after 13 minutes for 5-0.
A sweeping move from their own half by Instonians gave space for Bevan Prinsloo to dive over in the right corner. Josh Eagleson converted to move Instonians out to 12 – 0 on 17 minutes.
Garryowen responded quickly. Max Clein drove over from short range, Lachlan Stewart converted and Garryowen were back to 7 – 12 . . .
