On Saturday afternoon Roughfort was the venue for the Towns Cup quarter final tie between Academy and Banbridge 2XV.

Troy Pinion opened the scoring for Banbridge

This proved to be an evenly matched contest with the visitors taking an early lead through their centre, Troy Pinion, touching down in the corner. This was short lived with Academy’s Rich Henderson crashing over to level up, then Michael Wilson adding the extra points for Academy to lead 7-5.

Rich Henderson equalised for Banbridge

Academy’s Daniel Logan the extended the home score, cutting through to touch down near the posts, Michael Wilson again adding the points to move Academy out to 14-5.
