We caught up with the Schools Trophy Quarter Final between Belfast High and Bangor Academy on a damp Saturday morning at the High Schools Shore Road grounds.
It was an entertaining game between two competitive teams. Belfast High got of to the best of starts as a nice interchange on the left saw Ben Gardner break clear, from the halfway line, to finish under the posts. Gardner converted his own try for a 7 – 0 lead.
Bangor hit back two minutes later as Stephen Boyd finished off a lineout drive from close range. Sean Hynes added the conversion to tie the game 7 – 7 after 6 minutes.
