We caught up with the Irish Junior Cup match between Pegasus 2XI and Pembroke Wanderers 2XI at Newforge on Saturday afternoon.
Wanderers got off to the best of starts with a goal after 2 minutes from Jill Ringwood, who had the Pegasus defence on their toes for most of the game.
Pegasus looked to get a foothold in the game with Annie Cunningham and Molly Young pushing forward. The home team were unfortunate to have a goal by Young ruled out, the whistle for a foul going about a second before Young blasted the ball into the net.
