Portadown College and the Royal School Armagh 2nd XI’s contested the McDowell Plate on a damp, cold and wet Wednesday afternoon at Stormont Pavillion.
Portadown got off to the best of starts with Emily Adamson netting an early penalty corner in the 2nd minute.

Armagh worked their way back into the game with a few driving runs into the Portadown D, keeping the defence busy, but the college side soaked it up and a well taken goal by Leah Galbraith gave Portadown a 2 – 0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
