We caught up with the Irish Hockey U16 Girls Interprovincial between Ulster and Leinster at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club on Sunday morning.

I’m pleased to see that the two starlets we started following since the U14 Schools Finals last season, Sullivan Upper’s Emily Walls and Royal School Dungannon’s Evie Girvan, both made the cut alongside, our new FRU Favourite, Larne Grammar’s Isla Allen.

The first quarter was fairly even with defences on top, most of the action centered round the middle of the park.

Ulster’s Katie Herron opened the scoring against Leinster in the U16 girls Interpro at Lisnagarvey HC.
