We caught up with the Women’s All Ireland Hockey League Champions Trophy Finals at Comber Road on Saturday and Sunday.
In the first semi final a strong second half saw Loreto pull away from Pembroke College for a 4 – 0 win.

Our primary interest was catch up with Portadown Ladies, the only Ulster side in the Women’s Finals. Unfortunately, the suspension of Portadown’s Katie Herron, who has been in exceptional form, took the edge off the game but they still gave Railway Union plenty to think about in an exciting semi final.
Railway Union went on the show their cup pedigree with a 2 – 1 win against Loreto, in Sunday’s Final, the Park Avenue side lifting the Champions Trophy for the third season in a row.
