I caught up with the Championship 2 Top 3 clash between Randalstown and Academy at Neillsbrook Park on a damp and gloomy Saturday afternoon.
Randalstown enjoyed the better of the opening 10 minutes but, after weathering the early storm, Academy took the lead with a penalty from Conor Spence.
Neither side really came to terms with the referees interpretation of the break down and both sites when through phases of coughing up a lot of penalties. A run of penalties saw Randalstown lose a man for ten minutes and the visitors took full advantage with a try from Chris Nash off a maul. Spence added the extras to push the score out to 0 – 10.
