On Monday morning Banbridge Academy U13XI faced Royal Belfast Academical Institution U13XI in the Bannister Bowl Final at Havelock Park.

There was a lot of sounding out in the 1st quarter with neither team grabbing the initiative. The quarter ended scoreless.

Early in the 2nd quarter Inst began to sling passes together and stretch the Banbridge defence.

Ben Macafee’s 2nd quarter goal opened the scoring

With little time remaining in the quarter, Ben Macafee opened the scoring on 24 minutes to give Inst a deserved 1-0 halftime lead.

Though Inst had the lion’s share of the 3rd quarter they couldn’t add to their tally. The Banbridge forward line lived off scraps.

In the 4th quarter Inst made their domination tell.
