We caught up with the All Ireland Senior Cup match between Portadown and University College Dublin at Edenvill early Saturday afternoon.
It was an absolute thriller of a match with both teams wanting to play some hockey, and play it they did.
Portadown had the better of the first half with captain Katie Herron leading the way with a phenomenal performance as she showcased her silky skills. It looked like the home side would take a lead into the second half but a 26th minute effort from Rebekah Lennon was ruled out leaving the score at 0 – 0 as the teams changed ends.
