We caught up with the McConnell Shield Final between Pegasus 2XI and Pegasus 3XI at Stormont on Sunday afternoon.
Competitive intra-club games can sometimes end up a touch over competitive but this match between Pegasus 2XI and Pegasus 3XI got the balance right, producing a highly competitive and entertaining game.
Both teams gave it a go but they largely cancelled each other with defences coming out on top in a lively first half.
The 2nds probably enjoyed the bulk of territory and possession but the 3rds came closest to opening the scoring with a couple of goal mouth scrambles in the second quarter.
After a half time huddle the 2nds came out full of intent and they got their reward in the third quarter as Clare McKane turned in a strike from Molly . . .
