We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Schoolgirls Senior Cup Quarter Final between Belfast Royal School and Portadown College at Roughfort on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ulster Schoolgirls Quarter Finals have been a great advert for the game and this one was no different.
Academy applied the early pressure, creating a couple of early chances, but Portadown started to push forward more often as the quarter progressed. The defences scrambled well and we went into the second quarter still looking a goal.
Portadown got the breakthrough at the start of Q2 as Emily Adamson rattled one in from out wide to give the visitors a 0 – 1 lead which they took into the second half.
BRA got on the front foot in Q3 but the hard working Hannah Davison denied them much time or space and a late break out by Portadown ended with a last . . .
