We caught up with the Ulster Schoolgirls Senior up match between The Royal School Armagh and Victoria College at College Hill on Saturday morning.
There was a touch of deja vu about this one as we’d covered the same schools a few days earlier in the Junior Cup and this game produced an equally as exciting and competitive game.

Armagh pushed forward from the start but some strong defending by Victoria, with Rebecca Rowan prominent, kept them at bay until a blistering shot from Armagh’s Evie Girvan opened the scoring 13 minutes in. Girvan’s speed of reaction and blistering shot giving the Victoria keeper no chance and the home team took a 1 – 0 lead into the second quarter.
