We caught up with the Junior 2 Top of the Table clash between Larne 2XI and Queen’s University 3XI at Larne Grammar early Saturday afternoon.

Larne had a strong first quarter and they were rewarded with a goal from captain Jordanne Close, a few minutes from the end, for a 1 – 0 lead.

Jordanne Close scored a first half brace for Larne

Queen’s came storming back in the second quarter a Charlotte Snape broke clear to round the larne keeper to take the score ot 1 – 1. A minute later Esme Mason cut inside to to smack a backhand into the net to put Queen’s in front 1 – 2.
