We caught up with most of the Junior Shield semi final between Academy and Randalstown at Roughfort on Saturday afternoon.
Randalstown applied the early pressure and picked up a penalty from Eoin Letters for a 0 – 3 lead.
Academy responded with a Michael Wilson penalty three minutes later to take the score to 3 – 3 after 10 minutes.
Crucially, it was Randalstown that got the first try as Daniel Cullen crossed to take the score to 3 – 8. However two Wilson penalties had Academy in front 9 – 8 by the half hour mark.
