Men’s Premier: Queen’s University 6 Mossley 1

We caught up with the Men’s Premier League top of the table clash between Queen’s University and Mossley at the Dub on Saturday afternoon.

In this meeting of the top two teams in the League, Queens showed why they were clear leaders with an early penalty corner strike by Ben Law at the end of the first quarter.

Ben Law picked up a hat-trick for the students.

The second quarter was evenly contested with no further goals and the teams went into the second half defending their 1 – 0 lead.

The home team cut loose in the third quarter scoring three times in the space of 14 minutes. First Charlie McKeown slotted home a rebounding ball, next Ben Law converted a penalty stroke and followed up a few minutes later to claim his hat trick with another PC strike as the score rushed along to 4 – 0.
