We caught up with the Denman Ulster Shield match between Belfast Harlequins and Portadown at Deramore Park on Saturday lunchtime.

The first half was very even from both sides, and both had multiple short corners and some good scoring chances. However, despite this, the first half ended 0 – 0.

Evie Girvan scored an early brace for Portadown

In the third quarter, Portadown struck early with a great finish from Evie Girvan, who followed this up again five minutes later to score a second goal for the team, giving the visitors a 0 – 2 lead.

Katie Larmour scored Quins first goal.

However, Harlequins stayed patient and found a goal through Katie Larmour to take the score . . .
