Women AIL: Cooke 14 Wicklow 17

The last match on Saturday was the Women’s All Ireland League fixture between Cooke and Wicklow under the lights at Shaw’s Bridge.

It was a cold an misty night and the lighting wasn’t great so there are not a lot of images for this one. We do have a video summary of the game.

Cooke started the ame pretty well and a couple of good carries led to Ilse van Staden going over for the opening score after 14 minutes. Amanda Morton added the extras to give Cooke a 7 – 0 lead.

Ilse van Staden opened the scoring for Cooke.

Wicklow worked their way back into the game and a period of pressure in the Cooke 22 ended with
