On Saturday Clongowes Wood, from Co Kildare were the visitors to Osborne Park, for a 12.00 noon kick off against Royal Belfast Academical Institution.

Alex Place opened the scoring for Inst

Inst started brightly, moving the ball quickly away from ruks and mauls. They took the lead, after 7 minutes, when Alex Place crossed in the right corner. He nailed a difficult conversion for Inst to lead 7-0.

A 17th minute long range Ross Doyle penalty goal reduced the deficit to 3-7.

Ross Adams scored in the corner to give Clongowes the lead
