Ashbourne RFC, northwest of Dublin was the venue for the All Ireland League Promotion Final between Clogher Valley and Richmond, from Limerick.
We had calculated that I would arrive before halftime, having travelled up from Corinthian HC. However, the scheduling and travel gods were not with me! The Women’s Play Off Final was moved back 15 minutes, because a previous game went to run ins. Travelling around the M50 was problematic. Between Junctions 7 and 5, the M50 became a car park. I eventually arrived at Ashbourne 10 minutes into the 2nd half.
