Belfast Harlequins survived a second half fight back by Bangor to take the points in the opening round of the SONI Ulster Rugby Premiership (Division 2) on Saturday afternoon at Deramore Park.

Harlequins hold on to record an 8 – 7 win against Bangor in this SONI Ulster Rugby Premiership D2 match.

Steven Weir scored an unconverted try for Quins and James Bovill goaled a penalty to make the score 8-0 at half time.

Bangor’s try in the second half was scored by sub Ali Lockhart and converted by Michael Aspley who also had a shot a goal to win but the ball just landed short of the posts.
