On Saturday in Game One of a triple header at Ravenhill, Ballynahinch 5XV faced Ballymena 5XV in the McCambley Cup Final.
With many experienced heads in both teams the game settled quickly.

Ballymena took the lead on 4 minutes when Stefan McMaster scored in the corner.
It took time for Hinch to respond. Conor Piper drove over from a maul to tie the game at 5-5 after 17 minutes.
Hinch shaded territory and possession. Tries by Mark McCormick, 35 minutes, and Matthew Arneil, 37 minutes, together with James McBriar conversion, gave Hinch a comfortable 19-5 halftime lead.
