Early Thursday afternoon Bangor Grammar 2XI contested the Dowdall Cup against Royal Belfast Academical Institution 2XI at Havelock Park.

An aerial pass was lobbed in from push back and was met on the half volley by Inst’s Charlie Keys, who thrashed the ball into the roof of the Bangor net for 1-0 after only 9 seconds.
Worse was to follow for Bangor. Charlie Keyes was on hand to score again on 6 minutes for 2-0 to Inst.
