We caught up the Schools Cup match between Ballymena Academy and Portadown College on Saturday morning at Galgorm Road.

It was a tough game for the rapidly improving Portadown side who came up against a clinical Ballymena Academy who are having a good run of form.

Jacob Casson, center, picked up two tries for Ballymena

Jacob Casson opened the scoring for the home side with an unconverted try after five minutes and he was followed seven minutes later with a try from Seth McCready, converted by James McMillan for a 12 – 0 lead.

Zac Topping picked up a try in each half for the home team.
