We caught up with the Ulster Shield Group match between Mossley and Ulster University Elks at The Glade on Saturday afternoon.
It was a surprise when Mossley opened the scoring against their more Senior opponents in the first 5 minutes with a penalty corner routine deflected home by Reah Little taking the score to 1 – 0.
Play was fairly even through the first quarter with no further scoring.
Elks struck back midway through the second quarter with another deflected corner routine directed home by captain Gabriella Scott, bringing the scores to 1 – 1 at the mid point.
