We caught up with the Stephenson Cup Semi Final between Belfast Royal Academy and The Royal School Armagh at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club on Wednesday afternoon.
This was billed to be a close one with both teams showing good form through the qualifying stages and so it proved.

It was a defence first approach from both sides with key players heavily marked on both teams. Armagh’s Evie Girvan made a few breaks in the first half to keep the BRA defence on their toes but Academy’s Leah Callaghan came closest to opening the score as she wrongfooted the Armagh defence to send a shot just past the right hand upright.
