Late Saturday afternoon, Pegasus faced University of Ulster Elks at The Dub in a derby All Ireland League fixture.

Both sides sounded each other out, without creating many scoring chances in a scoreless first quarter.

In the second quarter Pegasus slowly gained control of midfield stifling passes to the Elks forwards. Their pressure told with Sarah Compton’s goal from open play. Pegasus led 1-0 at halftime.

Pegasus had the better of the third quarter, creating more chances than Elks, but neither attack could breech defences. The third quarter ended 1-0 to Pegasus.
