We caught up with the first half of the Crawford Cup Preliminary Round match between CIYMS 2XV and Ballymena 3XV at Belmont on Saturday afternoon.
Ballymena were first on the scoreboard in a lively first half as their No 8 battled over in the corner for the opening try and a 0 – 5 lead.
It was nearly half an hour before CI found a response, but respond they did with two tries in quick succession.
Fergus Doherty dove over for the first to take the score to 5 – 5 after 35 mins.
