On Saturday afternoon Ballymoney were the visitors to Havelock Park to face Banbridge in a Women’s Premier fixture. The night’s winds had abated, though not enough to prevent the Men’s All Ireland League game before it, being postponed.

Banbridge set about their task from pushback. On 6 minutes Stef Ardis, who was to be a thorn in the Ballymoney defence’s side for whole game, struck from close range to put Banbridge 1-0 up.
Perhaps against the run of play Ballymoney equalised with an 11th minute Anna Wright goal.
Stef Ardis restored Banbridge’s lead on 15 minutes to give them a 3-1 1st quarter lead.
In the 2nd quarter Nancy McCusker scored for Banbridge in the 35th minute to give Banbridge a 3-1 halftime lead.
