We caught up with the Ulster Schools Cup match between Methodist College and Belfast Royal Academy at Pirrie Park on Saturday morning.
MCB got proceedings underway, the sun on their backs, out half Louis Curran sending a low scudder into the BRA pack. Both sides exchanged blows before BRA drew first blood after right wing Caleb McWhinney rounded the MCB defence before cutting back to the posts to make the conversion easier for the kicking scrum half Connor McVicker. 0 – 7

MCB didn’t waste any time in opening their own account and wing Sam Nixon neatly stepped his way past the BRA defence to touch down, the try well converted by Curran. 7 – 7 after 12 minutes.
