Men’s Premier: Belfast Harlequins 2 Queen’s University 1

On Saturday, at lunchtime I took in the Men’s Premier mid table fixture between Belfast Harlequins and Queen at Deramore Park.

Quins had the lion’s share of possession in the 1st quarter, limiting Queens to breaks. Despite chances being created it remained scoreless in the 1st quarter.

Phil Campbell, left scored for Queens

Perhaps against the run of play Queens opened the scoring when Phil Campbell’s angled shot found the net to put Queens 1-0 up, after 17 minutes.

Quins pressure told and Hamdi Faisal equalised after 24 minutes. It remained 1-1 at halftime.

After the break the game was a much more even affair. Play was end to end with both sides having chances but failing to score. It remained 1-1 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
