We caught up with Ulster Schools Hockey U14 Stevenson Bowl semi finals at Havelock Park on Thursday morning.
The first fixture was the keenly contested match between Cookstown High School and Lurgan Junior High School which started at 10:30.

It was a fairly even first half with both sides showing plenty o endeavour as well as good skills. Cookstown looked to have the better of the first quarter but Lurgan started to work their way into the game with some effect in the second quarter. However, defences were up to the task and the teams changed ends with the score still at 0 – 0.
Lurgan came out with plenty of energy in the second half winning a penalty stroke which was well saved by Cookstown keeper Danielle McFadden.
