By early afternoon the sky had clouded over, and the floodlights were on for the Men’s Premiership game between Queens and South Antrim. I took in the 1st half of this game.

Both teams started with promising attacks but, as the quarter progressed defences took over. Both keepers were called into play making crucial saves. The 1st quarter was scoreless.

After attacks by both sides, Tim Curragh broke the deadlock, following a penalty corner, after 22 minutes. Queens brought out a series of saves from South Antrim Keeper, Peter Bingham and were frustrated to reach halftime 0-1 down.
