I caught up with the Anderson Cup first round match between PSNI and Queen’s University at Newforge on Saturday lunchtime.
The new look Queen’s side went into this game in high spirits after picking up the Intervarsity Mauritius Cup last weekend and despite a battling display from the Police side the students pretty much dominated this one from the off.
Queen’s were the only scorers in the first quarter with Harry Scott getting the final touch on a penalty corner for a 0 – 1 lead.
A composed break from the PSNI’s Jordan Bailie pulled the score back to 1 -1 at the start of the second quarter.
