Dalriada welcomed Sullivan Upper met a Rainey Endowed for a Medallion Shield semi final on Saturday morning. There was a minutes silence in memory of Dalriada’s headmaster and Ballymoney RFC stalwart ,Tom Skelton, who sadly passed in early February.
It was a closely contested game. Early play featured several exchanged kicks. Sullivan’s Roger McMullan capitalized on a high kick, scoring a try beside the posts. Henry Calvert successfully converted to give Sullivan a 0 – 7 lead.
Both teams provided exciting play for the crowd, but no further scores occurred in the first half.
