On Saturday evening Wolfhounds played Brython Thunder in Round 4 of the Celtic Challenge at Kingspan Stadium. The Wolfhounds consisted of players representing Ulster and Leinster, while Brython Thunder players represented West Wales.
Despite having most of the territory and possession Wolfhounds couldn’t take advantage of the plethora of chances created. Poor handling and concession of penalties at crucial times meant that it took until the 24thminute before Brittany Hogan scored close to the posts. Nikki Caughey’s conversion put Wolfhounds 7-0 up.

In a rare venture into the Ulster 22 a maul was driven over the Ulster line for Chloe Thomas-Bradley to touch down and reduce the deficit to 5-7, after 31 minutes.
