Wednesday, lunchtime saw the McCullough Cup Final played at Havelock Park between Banbridge Academy and Wallace High School. It was strangely sunny and mild in Banbridge.
Banbridge settled the quicker in the 1st quarter, creating chances, but a robust Wallace defence kept them at bay to go in at the end of the quarter at 0-0.

In the 2nd quarter Banbridge began to assert themselves, closing down midfield and preventing ball reaching the Wallace forwards. Eventually pressure told. From a 24th minute penalty corner Josh Brownlee hammered the ball home to give Banbridge a 1-0 halftime lead.
