My second match at Upper Cairncastle Road was the Group 2 Superleague match between Larne grammar and Banbridge Academy, Larne needing a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knock out rounds alive.
It was a tight first quarter with both sides creating a couple of chances each. Isla Allen was prominent for the Grammar and captain Ellen Jack featured strongly for the Academy.
Two goals in the second quarter turned the game in Banbridge’s favour. Mya Gray scored both, the first an accurate strike across the D and the second from getting on the end of a cross from Jack.
