I caught up with the junior friendly at Roughfort between several Academy sides and Grosvenor on Friday evening. The match was played over three 25 minute periods with Academy fielding a different side for each period as they gave their firsts, seconds and thirds squads an early season hit out. Grosvenor played the same tem from a panel of around 25 players.

I’d guess this meeting came about with the recent big money1 transfer of ex Grosvenor Coach Robert Ford to Academy and with Ford sides always playing an attractive style of rugby I thought I’d pick this one up.
