Women Junior 1: Pegasus II 4 Lurgan II 1

With the previous game at Newforge extended by almost 20 minutes I was going to miss most of the first half of my scheduled rugby match so I decided to stay at Newforge and covered the Ulster Hockey Women’s Junior League 1 match between Pegasus II’s and Lurgan II’s.

After the feisty nature of the previous game this one, though equally competitive, would best be described as “good fun” which gave us a huge gallery below.

Lurgan looked to have the better of the first quarter and they backed it up with a 1 – 0 at the end of the quarter after a penalty corner strike by Gemma Stewart.
