Irish Senior Cup: Instonians 1 Corinthians 3

Instonians welcomed Corinthians to Shaws Bridge on Saturday afternoon for a Men’s Irish Hockey Senior Cup fixture.

It was a closely fought first half though Corinthians were the livelier of the two sides.

Instonians keeper was called into action on a number of occasions in the first quarter but could do nothing when Corinthians were awarded a penalty corner which No 33, Chad Futcher converted.

Corinthians continued to press throughout the first half but Instonians defended resolutely and the teams changed wends with the score at 0 – 1 in Corinthians favour.
