I caught up with the provincial friendly match between Ulster Hockey U16 girls and, Scottish touring side, Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh (MES) in an entertaining match at Jordanstown on Sunday afternoon.

Ulster took the opportunity for a provincial squad hit out ahead of their interprovincial match against Leinster at Lisnagarvey on 30th October, PB 11:30.

After a convincing win against their Connacht counterparts it appears that the U16 squad have a wealth of talent to draw on.

Sullivan Upper’s Emily Walls had an impressive game with two goals.
